small time-only "gallery" clock
|
Made ca. 1920's in New Haven, Connecticut, this is a wonderful wall timepiece for the price. A great clock for the kitchen or any room in the house. Its brisk and audible tick gives enjoyment to any location. The pendulum is enclosed and is accessible through a small drop down door in the bottom under the number 6. The case is of solid oak construction and the entire front opens, hinging on the right, for winding the 8-day mainspring driven movement. The front edge of the door is beveled all the way around. This is all original which includes the movement, pendulum, dial, hands, glass, and cabinet parts. It is known as the "Balcony" model and has the excellent original label still pasted on the outside back. Restored by the Clockfolk and an excellent runner. Dimensions |
