  • Added links to two great recipe websites to the Recipes page. These were recommmended at the Farmers' Market Convention last weekend.
  • Added a link to the MFFM Facebook page. Thanks go to Anne Segasse for creating this for us!

  • Added a section to the Permits page that says:
    Wreathes and Christmas trees - It is not necessary to obtain a Maine nursery stock license to sell cut christmas trees and wreaths. Shipping such items out of state, however, is more complicated. See http://www.maine.gov/agriculture/pi/horticulture/wreaths.htm.

  • Added a the 2011 Rules and Application for the Scarborough Farmers' and Artisans' Market under the Farmers' Markets menu.

  • Added a Site Map under the "Home" menu.
  • Added the beginnings of a suite of pages about Feeding the Hungry, describing many ways in which farmers' markets and market members can provide food to the less fortunate. Over the coming weeks more pages will be added in this area.

  • On the Websites Page, checked all the links and removed two dead links (Portland Public Market, and Gorham Farmers' Market) and fixed another (Gateway-York Farmers' Market: York had reorganized their town website).

Late January—Early February, 2010

  • Completely revised and reorganized the website, checked for dead links, added dozens of new articles and links.

  • Created a free account at MailChimp , an E-mail Service Provider, to handle collecting e-mail addresses for—and mailing out—an upcoming newsletter.
